After many months of waiting, when the Moravian-Silesian Leonberger Breeders Club meeting was pushed back six months due to COVID, at which certification for breeding rights and Andy’s subsequent breeding was to take place, luck was simply not on our side. COVID also put a damper on other failed attempts at breeding and once everything was arranged, the government ordered the closing of districts and borders, which again made breeding impossible and everything stopped. However, this is all now a thing of the past. We can now look forward to the birth of Andy’s first puppies. Hopefully everything will go well. Our fingers are crossed for Joy, from faraway Finland, so that the delivery is smooth and everyone is healthy.
We all know that Santa brings presents but we had no idea that Andy and Joy would bring us the most beautiful present this year. Yes, it’s true, Andy will become a dad and we can look forward to having puppies around Christmas.
Six puppies, three males and three females were born on Saturday, December 25th 2021, on Christmas Day.
